Millionaire School's Out Special
Celebrities Live in the Hot Seat
with their Children!
For the first time in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? history, celebrities will appear with their teenage children, to raise as much money as possible for their chosen charities. with their Children!
Fun-loving presenter Fern Britton, champion boxer Joe Calzaghe and comedian Bob Mortimer, have signed up with their children to take part in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? School's Out, to be broadcast on ITV1 on Friday 15 July.
Fern will be joined by her 14-year-old daughter, Grace, Joe by his 14-year-old son, Connor and Bob by his son Harry, also 14. With the help of their celebrity parents, the teenagers will be up against the ticking clock in a bid to climb the million pound money tree. Who will prove to be the real brains of the Britton family? Can Joe's son pack as much punch as his dad? And who's the real comedian in the Mortimer family? Live Celebrity Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? School's Out is bound to throw up a few surprises!
Fern and Grace are taking part on behalf of The Fire Fighters Charity, which assists and supports fire service personnel by providing pioneering treatment and support services.
Commenting about her involvement Fern said "Grace and I are delighted to be playing Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? School's Out for the Firefighters. I only hope we can get them a good stash of money!"
Joe and Connor are aiming to reach the magic million for LATCH, a voluntary organisation supporting the special requirements of the children's oncology centre at the Children's Hospital for Wales, helping affected families and promoting research into childhood cancer.
Joe said: "I'm a big fan of the show and always enjoy watching it when I can. To have a chance to take part, raise money for my chosen charity and be alongside my son, Connor, at the same time is a great opportunity and I'm really looking forward to it."
Finally, Bob will be in the hot seat with his son, Harry, to raise money for The Anthony Nolan Trust.
Quiz master, Chris Tarrant, will oversee proceedings and viewers will once again have the chance to win big money because the cash won by the contestants will be shared 50/50 between their charity and a lucky viewer.
During the show a phone number and the website for the free route of entry will appear on the TV screen. Viewers will then have a set amount of time to phone in and at the end of the show one viewer will be randomly selected.
They will be put through to the studio where Chris Tarrant will ask them one question. They must answer within a set amount of time. Get it right and they win the cash. Get it wrong and the chance passes to the next viewer on the line, until someone answers correctly.
