Mother's Day Highlights

Congrats to all our amazing contestants on our "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" live Mother's Day Special.

What a show it was!

Comedian/actor David Walliams and his mum Kathleen played a valiant game for the Princess Alice Hospice - going all the way to the £20,000 question before sadly dropping down to the £1,000 safe haven. Not even their Phone-A-Friend David Baddiel could save the day.

Next up was X Factor star Olly Murs and his mum Vickie Lynn playing for the Brainwave charity. It was looking shaky as he used his Phone-A-Friend on question 2 - the added pressure of the BIG BAD CLOCK almost caused him to lose the game but he pulled it back magnificently flying to a grand total of £10,000.

Last to the hotseat was Eastender's star Patsy Palmer and her son Charley playing for their charity CLIC Sargent.. As the last couple in the live show, they only had until the klaxon sounded but still managed to win £10,000.

During the show, Chris Tarrant surprised some of the audience members with emotional Mother's Day messages from their loved ones, who joined us in the studio and presented them with flowers.

As if all that excitement wasn't enough, one lucky viewer had the chance to win half of all contestant's winnings. George Wright of Chichester answered a question correctly live on air. His prize package included £10,500 and a plethora of Mother's Day prizes including a spa day and a year's worth of flowers.
